And the days stood still.

Not so much activity here lately?  Well, the style guru duo aint the same duo if we aint together, so it’s high time I get my sad ass over to the country of footie, afternoon tea and dry gin. From next week London will be my new playground. Look out for the original style gurus – TrendGiveAfuck at your service.

It’s raining. So I’m doing some house cleaning today before a good friend from Sweden arrives to share a couple of glasses of high-percentage alcohol. Sorting out all the shit (papers and bills) and clothes in my room. Here’s to show that I’m not all show [sic], I actually have ties in every colour!

You can buy Flipflops for £20 or more, brand nor just American Apparel or other mainstream shop brand. In Japan you can buy flipflops of the exact same quality for 50 pence.

Better yet, you don’t have to give a fuck about where to buy’em – just make’em yourself! I don’t have any good tools at home yet, so I started with a nice foundation of cardboard and some cloth with help from a stapler gun. I think the prototypes are captain

We got this letter the other day, which makes us both happy as well as giving me some guilty conscience that I haven’t worked harder on the TrendGiveAfuck project since I moved to London. Anyway, we just want to say that we think that Lab 5 is fab!

Sorry, loved ones, from not hearing from us! Adorian was moving house to his new penthouse in East London, and The Licious was surfing and sailing around the south islands of Sweden, so we haven’t been close to a computer to upload any kewl stuff. More to come tomorrow!

Hugz n kizzez!

Why do we have TrendGiveAfuck? The answer is not the same as to the question why did we create TrendGiveAfuck. We created TrendGiveAfuck because we were so damn tired of the club scene and nightlife in Stockholm in 2008, so we just wanted to do something different and mock the whole scene.

Today I would say TrendGiveAfuck tries to achieve two things, besides the obvious reason that two late-bloomers still want to have a reason to go out and get dirty and have fun.

ONE: What if we could affect people to dress a little bit more colourful (not as in reflections of light even though that is really really nice as well, but as in “show your true colours”-colours) and drop the guard for a while. We don’t have to follow trends, and we don’t have to belong to a genre or group style-wise. I think we would all be a bit happier.

TWO: What if we could make people believe in themselves, and realize that style adds to your self confidence (charismatic people will always be appreciated, and appreciated people will always grow self confidence). And by believing in yourself, your potential, and striving to be the person you really want to be, I think you will be a happier person.

Both Adorian and I have been doing this for over a year now, and boy have we grown! I’m glad to say that we are the living proof that this works.

Hip hip from London!

I’ve moved around for a bit and explored all territories in circles except the really fashionable ones (closing in fast), but as you can see the hip atmosphere of London is influencing my already cool, but honest, style. Well… at least I’m not turning into an arse! Har har…

Byt the way, have you heard LAMB? They make very cool triphop and chillout music -- this is good for Thursday evenings and Friday mornings -- not Friday evening!

Just half an hour before lift off. United Kingdom before me, Sweden behind me.

If life was like a book, this is not the end of a chapter. It’s the end of a volume. A new front cover, a new page intentionally left blank, a new page dedicated to all my wonderful friends from before, and new jewels I’ve met just the last couple of months. Friends I’m so lucky to have back home in Sweden.

This is not farewell. It’s “au revoir! You will be surely missed and I will try to come to Stockholm, Malmö, Älmhult, and Växjö as often as I can! And when I can’t, there will be a sofa and extra mattress for you, my friends and fans (and my bed for the female groupies.)

Wish me luck, and “ta ta” for now!
